Sometimes a device or gateway may exhibit bad behavior, get lost, or be accidentally destroyed. In these cases, you can replace the device quickly and easily using a features in that device's settings.
- Open your app.kairoswater.io account (accessing from a mobile device makes the replacement easier because you can scan the code for the new devices from your mobile)
- Navigate to the device that you would like to replace
- Tap the "Settings" heading
- Tap "Replace Device" on the right
- If a pop-up alert appears requesting access to your camera, tap "Allow" in order to scan the QR code on the new device. Otherwise, you will need to enter the number manually.
- Once the new device information has been scanned/entered, replace the old unit with the new, following instructions given for the installation of the old device.
- Contact Kairos at firstname.lastname@example.org to send the old device back.
